If someone is so stupid as to draw opinions from cartoons, I don't think there is much hope for them. This is why my sexuality isn't threatened by people who aren't like minded. Strong willed and intelligent people aren't influenced by an animated cartoon nor are they offended by them. They are that way because they are weak minded. People who are racist or prejudiced aren't that way because they watched a cartoon or played a game. It isn't meant to make any kind of political or moral statement or in any way trying to change the way people think. At the end of the day, it's just a cartoon or a game. I think perhaps we tend to read too much into these things. Does this not feed a prejudice about fathers? I don't because I know that this is fiction. Should I be insulted or offended because Homer, Stan, Peter and Hank are portrayed as bumbling idiots? Should I take offense that virtually every commercial portrays dad as a dummy whose children constantly try to educate him? This permeates virtually every entertainment medium. From the Simpsons throughout all of the animation domination series, every one of them attempts to get us to laugh at ourselves. Almost all of the adult oriented cartoons are sarcastic and irreverent. I really don't think the illustrators or writers in the cartoons are considering anyone taking offense from a cartoon. They are cartoon characters that were conceived and drawn by persons with their own ideas. None of them are transgender or even transsexual. When they are cross dressing, it IS meant as a costume. I think we have to consider that the characters on the cards to which you are referring are solidly established with their gender and aren't in transition and the cards were pulled from actual episodes of the cartoon.
